Been busy rather than slack so here are several days of pics,

Todays pic is a blurry capture off the video. I don't care at all because it is the moment in the ride when Gids said "oh! I get it! Yes I can do that!" when I asked him to sit back on the hindquarters and collect  in preparation for the walk transition. This frame shows clearly the moment that he sat back , took the whole weight on his hind legs, and yet that inside hind is well and truly engaged. :-) Such an exciting ride. I think he thought so too - he followed me like a dog afterwards, even though he was loose while I tidied up.

Today's pic is of trees in the swamp on the trail ride SueJ and I went on. We had a lovely time and the horses were great.

Work - I'm glad I have a job, I'm glad most of the people I work with are good fun.

Today's pic is of the freshly mown backyard. It's been a bit of a jungle due to weather and vegies that take over. I mowed through the pumpkin patch and the watermelon patch and now it looks much better!

Today's pic is of Russ and the puddies, happy to see me when I got home after my 9 hour work day.

• Good pony and drier paddock
• Thai dinner :-)

Today's photo is the feral orange paddock pony. His face was the cleanest part of him, the rest was covered in caked on mud. He was happy as a horse in mud though and happy to come out and play. :-)

Other things I'm grateful for today:

• The wheeling flock of blue ibis flying overhead
• Russ not being upset that I missed his text messages and only picked him up after he'd started walking home (35k!)
• Lunch with Aqua, so enjoyable - great company and great food.

This photo is my two sisters and me on top of Barrenjoey Headland in Sydney. It was great to spend the day with them just the three of su by ourselves: something that is very rare since we all live in different cities and when we do get together there are usually other people involved. It was a dramatic day on the headland - we managed to get there between rainstorms.

Other things I'm grateful for today:

• Getting to spend time with Liz's kids
• Being able to ttravel to Sydney and back in a day

Todays pic is my $12 grey and pink fashion gummies. Couldn't manage without them in the mud that is at the farm at the moment. Best $12 I ever spent. ;-)

• The enthusiasm to ride even though it's wet and slippery
• A horse sensible enough that I CAN ride on a day like today
• Enough light to ride in at the end of the day
• Cameron's "How to get a job" presentation
• Exams being over
• The beautiful circling blue ibis I saw

Today's pic is Liccy being a cute lap-cat on Russ. Happy boys both of them. :-)

Other things I'm grateful for today:

• Having a nice warm house to be in, a comfy couch to sit on and movies to watch while it poured outside.
• Russ bringing me home chocolate milk and a breadstick so we could indulge in yummy snack food for lunch.

Today's pic is from the Sydney Vivid festival. We went in to meet my sister and her kids and despite the rain stayed to wander around the festival. It was terrific as usual.

• My sister and her kids
• veal parmigiana
• umbrellas :-)
• The rain, which made everything even better for photographs

Two photos today. the first is symbolic. My friend Lyn who I went to lunch with didn't want her photo taken so this photo is of my yummy hot chocolate. :-)
We had a wonderful time at lunch, she is a wonderful friend and I am very glad we are friends.

The second photo is a better picture of the lake, taken tonight, the light was amazing.

Other things I'm grateful for today:

• The pelicans I saw fly over the bridge
• Russ spending the time to video me riding
• The great shops on Darby st and being there while they were opn for once.

Today's photo not the best quality - taken from my phone cos I forgot the camera. It's of the lake, which I drive past almost every day and has many moods. The lake always makes me happy. This was just after the sun had gone down, I was on my way home from the ponies, having had a great ride.

Other things I'm grateful for today:

• My wonderful horse who was an angel today
• Yummy lunch with a good friend
• Lovely things to look at in a shop where we lunched
• Nearly having finished uni and on my way to being able to afford such lovely things. 
• Russ :-)

Today's pic is the beautiful evening light on the trees out back between rainshowers. I love that our house backs onto an easement full of trees. The trees are always full of birds and the whole thing looks beautiful as the sun sets.

Other things I'm grateful for today:

• Being on the ground while Gids did all his silly behaviour.
• Him not hurting himself when he took off.
• SueJ for rescuing me and not making me feel utterly silly about bogging the car.
• Happy puddies sitting next to me on the couch.
• A lovely warm shower to warm me up after getting wet while at the horses. 

SO I've decided to start a gratitude photo blog. Something I read about a while back and think is a great idea. Each day I have to post a photo of something I am grateful for. Really the photo should be taken that day too. Which, given I still consider myself a photographer, shouldn't be too hard. ;-)

This is my room. I'm so happy with it now it's been painted. We bought a new doona, doona cover and sheets on the weekend and  now it's all matchy matchy and looks gorgeous! Next step is to get my quilt picture up on the wall.

Other things I'm grateful for today:

• A shower that is tall enough for me to stand under.
• My very sensible horse, who only leapt about a little bit after having 6 weeks off.
• The beautiful green light on the trees as the sun set against the grey stormy sky.
• A lazy morning spent with Russ before he went to work
